The internship option for the UBC Master of Engineering (MEng) in Biomedical Engineering (BMEG) and Master of Engineering in Mechatronics Design (MECD) gives you the chance to gain hands-on experience, develop your technical skills, and build valuable industry connections. You’ll also get to put your 12 months of classroom knowledge to work, solving real-world challenges.
The internship is an optional program available to all students in the MEng BMEG and MEng MECD program. This program begins with 12 months (3 academic terms) of coursework where you will complete all credit requirements for your master's degree. Following these academic terms, MEng MECD students may participate in a 4-month internship, while MEng BMEG students may participate in either a 4- or 8-month internship, depending on the length of internship secured.
The MEng BMEG and MEng MECD internship option are supported by the UBC Applied Science Co-op Program. If you’re interested in participating in the Co-op Program, please review the information below.
