Employer & Supervisor Role

As a co-op employer, your responsibilities and expectations are the same as they would be for any employee with your organization, and we are happy to support you throughout the work-term. Students value hands-on, technical supervision, working on projects that utilize their skillsets, and appreciate mentorship and professional development opportunities.

You will be asked to complete an evaluation of the student’s performance nearing the completion of the work term and discuss the results with the student. To pass the co-op work term course, the student must receive a passing grade on their work term assignment and receive a satisfactory performance evaluation from their workplace supervisor. Our Co-op Career Advisors will work with you to monitor and evaluate students’ progress every step of the way.
