Program Overview
Mechanical Engineering applies physics and math to analyze, design, manufacture and maintain mechanical systems. Students are driven to take a concept through design, analysis, and prototyping, while also gaining extensive knowledge in, but not limited to, fluid mechanics, manufacturing processes and control systems.
Student Skills
Mechanical Engineering students are creative thinkers with strong practical and analytical skills who love to solve problems using innovative solutions. Here are some highlights of what our Co-op students can do for your organization:
- Carry out predictive and preventative maintenance planning
- Design and validate process design, operation and control systems
- Produce, revise and update plans and drawings using 2-D and 3-D CAD software
