Program Overview
Materials Engineering students develop in-depth knowledge of the entire life cycle of materials to solve process-design problems and materials-selection solutions for diverse applications. In addition to this, students also have specialist knowledge on the extraction, processing, response, and failure of engineered materials.
Student Skills
Materials Engineering students are innovative and constantly driven by their curiosity. Here are some highlights of what our Co-op students can do for your organization:
- Assist in the removal and purification of useful materials
- Devise design and specification of materials and their processing history to achieve specific properties or performance
- Conduct materials processing, characterization and failure analysis
